Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club is seeking a Charge Nurse for the Pre Admission Testing department. The role oversees PAT shift flow, ensures patients are evaluated and prepared for procedures, and coordinates daily workflow with surgical scheduling and leadership.

Qualified candidates will have a Texas RN license, 2+ years of RN experience, BSN preferred, and BLS with ACLS within 30 days of hire. Excellent communication and patient care skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN License with BLS; ACLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee PAT daily operations and ensure patients are evaluated and prepared for scheduled procedures.
• Coordinate PAT workflow and assign responsibilities based on patient volume and priorities.
• Communicate scheduling concerns and readiness issues to perioperative leadership.
• Monitor chart completion and adherence to deadlines; escalate barriers to care.
