Job summary

Qualifications

• RN graduate from an accredited nursing program with Nebraska licensure.
• Current BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire; NIH Stroke Scale within 6 months.
• Experience in Progressive Care Unit preferred; strong patient teaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the PCU setting.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassess per policy.
• Assess and manage pain; educate patient and family on pain control.
• Revise care plan based on patient response and daily evaluation.
• Perform waived testing and interpret results per policy.
• Assist physicians with procedures and provide skilled nursing care.
• Conduct bedside reports during shift changes and ensure safe handoffs.
• Maintain age-appropriate care and address psychosocial needs.
