Job summary

Bryan College Of Health Sciences seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in a medical-surgical setting. You will communicate with physicians, Nurse Manager, and coworkers about changes in patient condition and diagnostic results.

The role requires quick, accurate responses to evolving patient needs and strict adherence to care plans. Responsibilities include comprehensive head-to-toe assessments, pain management education for patients and families, and collaboration

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Nebraska (NE) required.
• BSN degree preferred; enrolled in BSN acceptable.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting.
• Communicate with physicians, Nurse Manager, and coworkers about changes in clinical condition and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients and reassess as per policy.
• Assess and manage pain; educate patients and families on pain management.
