Job summary

MercyOne is hiring a Charge RN on the Ortho Trauma unit (5 North) for the 12 Hour Night Shift in Des Moines, IA. The RN will plan and provide professional nursing care in alignment with established standards, policies, and the patient’s needs. A current Iowa RN license, BLS, and ACLS as required ensure safe, compassionate care.

The position offers a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 and relocation support. Minimum qualifications include an Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license required.
• American Heart Association BLS required.
• ACLS required for telemetry monitoring.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care and standards of practice per level of experience and education.
• Deliver care on the Night Shift for the Ortho Trauma unit (5 North).
• Collaborate with the health care team and document patient care.

POSITION PURPOSE

The licensed Registered Nurse (RN) plans & provides professional nursing services & standards of practice in accordance with level of experience & education, state board of nursing & established policies & procedures. The RN integrates the art, science, leadership & knowledge of the nursing clinical practice through relationship-centered, compassionate, ethical & respectful direct / indirect healthcare services.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current Iowa RN license required
• American Heart Association BLS required
• ACLS required for units with telemetry monitoring
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire
