Job summary

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse for the 5 North Ortho Trauma unit. This 12-hour night shift role requires an Iowa RN license and provides a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 with relocation assistance.

The RN will deliver professional nursing care per policy and standards, with emphasis on compassionate, patient-centered service. Minimum qualifications include an ADN (BSN preferred), BLS, ACLS for telemetry units, and mandatory reporter training within 3 months

Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS required.
• ACLS required for units with telemetry monitoring.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills

POSITION PURPOSE

The licensed Registered Nurse (RN) plans & provides professional nursing services & standards of practice in accordance with level of experience & education, state board of nursing & established policies & procedures. The RN integrates the art, science, leadership & knowledge of the nursing clinical practice through relationship-centered, compassionate, ethical & respectful direct / indirect healthcare services.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current Iowa RN license required
• American Heart Association BLS required
• ACLS required for units with telemetry monitoring
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire
• Basic computer skills
