Edward Elmhurst Health is hiring a Charge Registered Nurse for the Surgery/OR at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. This full-time role is 36 hours per week, with shifts from 6:30a to 7p, Monday–Friday, and rotating call including nights, weekends, and holidays.

The ideal candidate holds an Illinois RN license, CPR (BLS), and an ADN or higher degree; BSN within 5 years is preferred. ACLS and PALS are required within 90 days of start date.

Qualifications

• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
• Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association.
• Associate degree in nursing or higher level nursing degree (BSN required within 5 years from start date).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within ninety days of start date into position.
• Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within ninety days of start date into position.

Responsibilities

• Renders professional nursing care to provide quality patient care.
• Assess patients’ condition, recognizes deviations, plans and evaluates care, monitors progress, and records observations.
• Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff.
• Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals.
