Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Charge RN for our Med/Surg unit at Rust Medical Center in Rio Rancho, NM. This full-time, 0.90 FTE night shift position focuses on leading a fast-paced team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of nursing experience required.
• RN license in state of NM or a Compact state.
• Degree from accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN/MSN).
• BLS certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Coordinate patient care activities including admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Assign and adjust nursing staff assignments based on patient acuity and staff competency.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nurses, promoting best practices in patient care.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and infection control guidelines.
• Facilitate communication between nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
