Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Charge RN to lead Cardiac Telemetry nursing on our 29-bed unit. You will coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team and support admission and discharge processes.

The ideal candidate is a RN with ACLS and BLS, RN license and diploma, ready to advance patient outcomes in a fast-paced cardiac environment. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a $10,000 sign-on for eligible experienced RNs.

Qualifications

  • ACLS within 30 days of employment start date.
  • BLS within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse license in good standing.
  • RN Diploma or higher required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, evaluate, and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care on the Cardiac Telemetry unit.
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes.
  • Partner with leadership to support improved outcomes and service.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and training to staff.
  • Assist with staff scheduling.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit. In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies. The CNC serves as a resource for staff and supports an unparalleled patient experience.

About this unit:

Cardiac Telemetry nurses assess acute changes in patients. They monitor and analyze the heart rhythm of patients, interpret ECGs, note arrhythmias, and intervene in emergency situations. They have high-level critical thinking skills, vast clinical knowledge, and are able to stay calm under pressure. Our Cardiac Telemetry unit is unique in that our nurses take care of patients recovering from open heart surgeries, heart catheterization with stent placement, ablations, pace maker/AICD placement, cardiovascular surgeries and we are a comprehensive stoke/stemi facility.

  • Two separate 29-bed units, specializing in the care of cardiac patients

What you will do in this role:

  • Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and leadership team to support improved outcomes and service.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.
  • Assist with staff scheduling.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
