Job summary

MyMichigan Health seeks a Registered Nurse to perform direct patient care and delegate to licensed practical nurses, unit technicians, and staff as appropriate in providing care and comfort to patients. Care is delivered with strict adherence to local, state, and federal regulations governing patient care.

Responsibilities include assessing health needs across patient populations, planning actions with nursing leadership, coordinating resources, and evaluating outcomes to maintain quality care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year nursing experience on one of the Medical Center's nursing units with an open Permanent Charge Nurse Position.
• Must have at least two years medical center acute care experience.
• Must demonstrate knowledge in rehabilitation nursing by completion of rehabilitation training modules.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient health needs and nursing care requirements across applicable age groups.
• Plans unit objectives and revises policies/procedures with nursing leadership.
• Coordinates resources and leads personnel to accomplish objectives.
• Evaluates outcomes against standards and implements corrective actions as needed.
