Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to perform direct patient/resident care and supervise patient care technicians. The nurse will ensure compliance with all regulations and guidelines related to facility care and will apply basic medical/surgical knowledge to care for general and orthopedic surgical patients.

Responsibilities include medication administration, treatments, assist with transfers, and collaboration with the team to update care plans.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Equivalent Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Education Specialization: NRG.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s needs and provide skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician authorized plan of care and accepted standards of nursing practice.
• Provide direct resident care, including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, etc.
• Evaluate effectiveness of treatment plan and update/revise the plan in collaboration with the team to improve patient care.
• Process physician/provider orders accurately, completely and in a timely manner.
• Follow up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.
