Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ is seeking a Night Shift, full-time Medical-Surgical Charge Registered Nurse to lead nursing care on the Medical/Surgical Unit.

The role requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing, NJ RN licensure, and BLS within 14 days of hire; at least one year of Medical/Surgical staff nurse experience.

Bachelor's degree preferred; pay will reflect experience and education, with differentials and call pay included.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Licensed as an RN in New Jersey.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• At least one year of experience as a Staff RN on a Medical/Surgical unit is required.

Responsibilities

• The Charge Nurse—Medical/Surgical Unit has the leadership skills, authority, responsibility, and shift accountability for the delivery of nursing care through the use of the nursing process.
• They are an extension of the leadership team and must conduct themselves as such.
