Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• ADN acceptable with agreement to enroll in BSN completion program in five years.

Responsibilities

• Role model professional behaviors and collaborate with other departments and team members.
• Assign registered nurses and ancillary personnel to patient care activities with appropriate delegation.
• Provide peer coaching to improve problem solving, quality, safety and service.
• Manage patient/family concerns and delays; utilize chain of command when needed.
• Promote staff recognition and escalate issues to unit management.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and drive continuous improvement in patient care and safety.
• Coordinate staffing and unit operations to meet budget targets while ensuring safe care.
• Facilitate collaboration with Perianesthesia and Bed Coordination for patient flow.
• Participate in development activities and committees to improve care and operations.
