Job summary

Castleton Healthcare Center is seeking a Night Shift Charge Nurse to supervise nursing care and mentor the night staff in a high-quality care environment.

The role requires an active Indiana RN or LPN license, CPR/BLS certification, and 2+ years of SNF experience. You will lead overnight clinical activities, coordinate orders, and support families and physicians as needed.

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license in Indiana is required.
• 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing care delivery during the night shift.
• Ensure clinical compliance with care plans, standards, and policies.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely.
• Receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders (as permitted by law).
• Provide direct care when needed and support the overnight team.
• Communicate clearly with families, physicians, and day-shift staff.
• Help manage staffing, workflow, and overnight documentation.
