Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a Weekend Night Charge Nurse – RN/LPN for a 3-day schedule in Las Vegas, NM. The RN or LVN will lead resident care, develop plans of care, and supervise nursing staff to ensure safety and quality.

This full-time role requires NM license, BLS/CPR, and may involve rounds with physicians and coordination with therapists. We offer a benefits package including health and dental insurance and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Current LVN/LPN or RN license in practicing state.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to acquire one.
• Experience in nursing management is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follows established procedure for charting and incident reporting.
• Follows company procedures for narcotic counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction.
• Documents any change in patient's conditions including nutrition, infections, skin conditions, weight loss or other changes.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for patient identification, placement, and monitoring of programs.
• Document and notify applicable departments of room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

The Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse will be responsible for resident care and directing nursing staff. The RN is expected to develop the plan of care and collaborate with physicians, therapists and nursing assistants. The RN will also monitor assigned staff to ensure that all safety regulations are upheld. Charge Nurse (RN or LVN) will provide nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies as well as state, federal and local guidelines.
