Paloma Springs Healthcare in Truth or Consequences, NM is seeking an RN or LVN to serve as Charge Nurse, overseeing resident care and directing nursing staff. You will develop care plans and collaborate with physicians, therapists and nursing assistants to meet patient needs.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN or LVN license in the state, current BLS/CPR certification, and has nursing management experience or is willing to obtain certification.

Competenze

• Current LVN/LPN or RN license in practicing state.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to acquire one.
• Experience in nursing management is preferred but not required.

Mansioni

• Follows established procedure for charting and incident reporting.
• Follows company procedures for narcotic counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction.
• Documents any change in patient's conditions including but not limited to nutritional problems, infections, skin conditions, weight loss or any other noticeable changes.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Document and notify applicable departments of any patient's room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Shift: 6A-6P

The Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse will be responsible for resident care and directing nursing staff. The RN is expected to develop the plan of care and collaborate with physicians, therapists and nursing assistants. The RN will also monitor assigned staff to ensure that all safety regulations are upheld.

Charge Nurse (RN or LVN) will provide nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies as well as state, federal and local guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current LVN/LPN or RN license in practicing state.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to acquire one.
• Experience in nursing management is preferred but not required.
