Job summary

The Rehabilitation Center of Independence is seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) for night shift to lead nursing care in a skilled nursing facility. You will supervise CNAs, coordinate daily clinical operations, and ensure quality resident care while supporting residents, families, and staff.

Charge Nurse (RN) Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) / long-term care (LTC) setting
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies
• Perform resident assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
• Assign resident care duties and coordinate daily workflow
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and healthcare providers
• Complete accurate nursing documentation and maintain compliance with Missouri state regulations
• Promote resident safety, dignity, and quality of life

Charge Nurse (RN) Qualifications:

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• BLS/CPR Certification
• 1-2 years of experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Ability to lead, collaborate, and work effectively as part of a nursing team
