Job summary

Westminster Communities of Florida in Tallahassee is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to join our resident care team. You will follow physician orders to plan and implement care for residents, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to emergencies.

This role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, supervising CNAs and LPNs as Charge Nurse, coordinating appointments, and ensuring documentation accuracy as part of a compassionate long-term care environment.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida.
• CPR certification required.
• One year of long-term care experience desirable.
• Med-Surg or Home Health experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning resident care by following physician orders.
• Implement resident care based on physician orders.
• Evaluate care and communicate with doctors for updates of orders.
• Administer medication, IVs, injections, and document patient records.
• Provide emotional support and patient education.
• Perform basic diagnostics as directed.
• Receive and transcribe orders from attending physicians.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to emergencies.
• Schedule doctor visits and coordinate transportation.
• Supervise CNAs and LPNs as Charge Nurse to ensure adherence to orders.
