Responsibilities

• Assist in planning resident care per physician orders.
• Implement resident care per physician orders and monitor progress.
• Evaluate care and communicate with doctors for updates of orders.
• Administer medications, IVs, shots, update patient records, provide emotional support, patient education, basic diagnostics, and other patient procedures for residents.
• Receive and transcribe orders from attending physicians.
• Monitor blood glucose, temperature, and blood pressure when necessary.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate care.
• Schedule doctor’s appointments and coordinate transportation; transcribe lab results.
• Supervise CNAs and LPNs as Charge Nurse; ensure care plans are followed.
