Qualifications

• Current, active RN or LPN license in the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee nursing care for residents on the assigned unit.
• Ensure resident safety and maintain high standards of nursing care.
• Make appropriate nursing assignments based on staff experience and skill level.
• Supervise and support nursing staff, including CNAs and other nonprofessional personnel.
• Provide guidance to nursing staff and help identify and resolve patient care concerns.
• Accurately and promptly implement physician orders.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly notify the physician and healthcare team.
• Perform nursing assessments and obtain comprehensive resident histories.
• Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and changes in resident condition.
• Develop and update care plans based on resident assessments and needs.
• Use care plans to provide safe, effective, and individualized nursing care.
• Ensure accurate and timely nursing documentation and communication during shift report.
• Follow all nursing standards, facility policies, procedures, and infection-control protocols.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, nursing staff, and other departments.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and professional standards at all times.
• Promote positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers.
• Handle sensitive or emotional situations with professionalism, compassion, and tact.
