Creative Solutions In HealthCare in Odessa, TX is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse to lead care teams and ensure safe, high‑quality resident care. You will supervise nursing staff and coordinate daily activities to maintain consistent, compassionate care for residents.

The role requires strong communication, meticulous documentation, and the ability to respond quickly to emergencies. You will administer medications, implement care plans, and participate in shift reports to ensure seamless care

Qualifications

• Requires RN or LVN in good standing.
• Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.
• Ability to respond efficiently to emergencies and organize workflows.

Responsibilities

• Direct Care Teams: Provide guidance to Nurse Aides to ensure appropriate care for residents.
• Administer Medications: Properly and safely administer resident medications as prescribed.
• Implement Care Plans: Execute resident care plans in compliance with company policies, federal guidelines, and physician orders.
• Perform Treatments: Deliver treatments as required to ensure resident health and comfort.
• Transcribe Orders: Accurately and promptly transcribe physician orders.
• Document Resident Care: Maintain timely and accurate documentation in resident charts and complete required nursing assessments.
• Collaborate During Shift Reports: Participate in shift reports to ensure seamless communication and care continuity.
• Educate Support Staff: Implement nursing policies and procedures, educating staff on the care needs of residents.
• Maintain Safety Standards: Promote a safe working environment by complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures.
• Address Staffing Needs: Respond to staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff as necessary.
