Job summary

Emerald-Nursing- in Omaha, NE seeks an experienced RN Charge Nurse to oversee daily operations of the nursing department, lead staff, and ensure high-quality resident care.

You will coordinate care plans, administer medications per physician orders, ensure regulatory compliance, and work with physicians, therapists, and social workers. This PRN role requires RN license in Nebraska and BLS; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in Nebraska.
• ADN or BSN from an accredited institution.
• BLS certification; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs); provide guidance and mentorship; lead regular staff meetings.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans; monitor progress and adjust as needed; administer medications per physician orders.
• Ensure documentation and care practices meet regulatory standards; conduct audits and maintain compliance.
• Serve as primary liaison between nursing and other healthcare professionals; communicate with residents and families about care plans and progress.
• Manage staffing schedules and ensure coverage for all shifts; maintain accurate patient records and assist in policy development.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with emergency services; conduct incident investigations and report findings.
