Qualifications

• Graduate of an RN nursing program, upon hire.
• Registered Nurse license valid in NE, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 5 months.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 5 months.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients.
• Advocate for fellow nurses to reach their potential.
• Communicate effectively in 1:1 interactions and in groups.
• Staffing, scheduling, staff development, certifications, performance management.
• Assist with budget goals, payroll monitoring, resource utilization.
• Promote departmental goals, quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, staff communication, education, continuous improvement.
• Maintain clinical expertise, serve as a specialty resource, model clinical excellence.
