Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Charge Nurse for the Endoscopy Center to assess, plan, implement, and coordinate patient care from admission to discharge. You will set staffing schedules and oversee daily clinical operations, acting as a resource for staff with a focus on efficient, quality care and staff collaboration.

The role requires strong leadership, at least 5 years of nursing experience, and a background in hospital or procedure setting such as ASC, Cath Lab, IR or ICU.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or college diploma required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 5 years nursing patient care experience preferred.
• 1 year RN leadership experience minimum.
• 1 year hospital/ASC/Cath Lab/IR/ICU experience required.

The Charge Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to the pre-op through discharge from the Center. Sets and manages staffing schedule, oversees the day‑to‑day operational flow of patient care. Serves as a resource for clinical questions and patient‑care related issues as they arise. Works closely with the Administrator/Clinical Director, Nurse Manager, Medical Director and all staff. Provides leadership through example and sets the pace for an efficient, quality‑care focused, team‑oriented endoscopy center. Maintains a survey‑ready state.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate Degree / College Diploma - minimum
• Bachelor’s Degree Nursing from an accredited school of nursing - preferred

Experience

• 5 years nursing patient care experience - preferred
• 1 year RN leadership experience - minimum
• 1 year experience in a hospital, ASC, Cath Lab, IR or ICU setting - required

Licenses and Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS/ALS) – upon hire minimum. If ACLS is through ARC, BLS is not required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – upon hire minimum. If candidate has AHA, BLS is required.
• RN State License – upon hire minimum. Current RN license in the state of California.
