Job summary

UCHealth Memorial Hospital North in Colorado Springs is hiring a Charge Nurse for the MHN PreOP unit. This full-time, evening-shift, on-site role focuses on direct patient care and oversees perioperative processes.

The successful candidate will hold a BSN, RN license, and at least 1 year of nursing experience, with BLS. ACLS and PALS are required within 6 months. A supportive team and strong patient safety culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN must be completed within three years of assuming Charge RN.
• State RN licensure; BLS Healthcare Provider certification; relevant Certifications as determined by position level.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience; ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct perioperative patient care in PACU or Operating Room levels using the nursing process.
• Precept and mentor staff; support multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Promote safety, quality of care, and evidence-based practice in perioperative services.
