Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a Charge RN to provide leadership for a designated shift on the Cook St OR All Spec Activity unit. The role involves supervising staff, coordinating staffing, and ensuring safe, high-quality patient care while still contributing to direct patient nursing duties as needed.

Qualified candidates will hold an RN license, a Bachelor's in Nursing, ACLS/BLS certifications, and at least 1 year of nursing experience; additional certifications may be required by the position.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required within three years for Charge RN role.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Relevant certifications as required by position level.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing leadership for a specific shift and unit.
• Supervise and mentor staff; determine staffing and assignments.
• Deliver direct patient care as needed; float between staff as required.
• Evaluate patient care outcomes and address concerns through established channels.
• Perform role-specific duties: admissions/discharges, orders, transfers, and ensure equipment/supplies availability.
