Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Charge Nurse for full-time, three 12-hour shifts (8:00a–8:30p) with weekly call and occasional weekend requirements in the New Albany area. This front-line leadership role coordinates care on designated shifts and supports staff in delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate degree in Nursing, be a licensed RN in Indiana, and have BLS; ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred.

Baptist Health Floyd, Surgical Services Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area

General Purpose:

Responsible for acting as a resource nurse for the department. This is a front-line leadership position responsible for the coordination of care on designated shifts. He/she will provide leadership to the staff members of the unit in the area of patient care. This position will work alongside the team and provide direct patient care while determining needed staffing fluctuations during shifts, responding to departmental concerns, address immediate staff issues and coordinate patient flow.
