Beacon Health System is seeking a Part Time Day shift Charge Nurse for the Mother Baby Unit at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. You will guide nursing care, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality patient outcomes in a supportive team environment.

Required Indiana RN license with BSN or specialty certification preferred, plus 1–2 years of progressive nursing experience and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license
• BSN or specialty certification required
• One to two years of progressive nursing experience
• Within 5 years of RN employment, obtain BSN or certification

Responsabilités

• Identify and address patient concerns promptly; investigate issues and report outcomes.
• Manage patient placement and bed utilization efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Support unit performance improvement and peer review processes.
• Interpret and enforce hospital policies and procedures.
• Monitor staffing levels, adjust shifts, and maintain productivity goals.
• Provide direct patient care and assign tasks based on patient needs and staff skills.
• Develop and implement patient care plans based on nursing diagnoses.
• Train, coach, and validate competencies of new and existing staff.
