The ideal candidate holds an RN or LVN license, demonstrates strong communication, and can multitask under pressure to support residents and fellow team members on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LVN license in good standing.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is preferred.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Ability to multitask and respond to emergencies effectively.

Responsibilities

• Direct care teams to ensure residents receive appropriate care.
• Administer medications safely as prescribed.
• Implement and monitor care plans per policies and orders.
• Perform required nursing treatments and document care.
• Transcribe physician orders accurately and promptly.
• Maintain timely documentation in resident charts and complete nursing assessments.
• Participate in shift reports for care continuity.
• Educate staff on nursing procedures and resident needs.
• Maintain infection control and safe work practices.
• Address staffing needs and coordinate replacements as needed.

We’re seeking a dedicated and reliable Charge Nurse – LVN or RN to join our growing team! This role requires trustworthiness, consistency in attendance, and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment. A professional and cooperative demeanor is essential to collaborate with others and provide exceptional care to residents.

Your Impact as a Charge Nurse – LVN or RN

In this role, you will:

• Direct Care Teams: Provide guidance to Nurse Aides to ensure appropriate care for residents.

• Administer Medications: Properly and safely administer resident medications as prescribed.

• Implement Care Plans: Execute resident care plans in compliance with company policies, federal guidelines, and physician orders.

• Perform Treatments: Deliver treatments as required to ensure resident health and comfort.

• Transcribe Orders: Accurately and promptly transcribe physician orders.

• Document Resident Care: Maintain timely and accurate documentation in resident charts and complete required nursing assessments.

• Collaborate During Shift Reports: Participate in shift reports to ensure seamless communication and care continuity.

• Educate Support Staff: Implement nursing policies and procedures, educating staff on the care needs of residents.

• Maintain Safety Standards: Promote a safe working environment by complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures.

• Address Staffing Needs: Respond to staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff as necessary.
