Job summary

Cantex is seeking a Charge Nurse (LVN/LPN) to provide direct patient care and nursing leadership in a long-term care setting. The role oversees care delivery per physician orders, supports clinical oversight, and ensures accurate documentation and safety standards.

Supervisory responsibilities include CNAs and collaboration with RNs and managers. The ideal candidate will have an LVN/LPN license, at least one year of supervisory experience, and solid English communication skills, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with LVN/LPN license.
• Minimum of one year supervisory experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Observe, assess, document, and report patient conditions in accordance with clinical policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation related to patient assessments and nursing activities.
• Consult with RNs and Nurse Managers regarding changes in patient condition and care needs.
• Receive, transcribe, and execute physician orders using approved procedures.
• Implement care plans and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assign duties to CNAs and monitor delivery of patient care.
• Ensure documentation of incidents and significant events per standards.
• Lead the team, coach staff, and support performance.
• Coordinate equipment, supplies, and medication carts used in patient care.
• Notify attending physicians of significant changes in patient condition.
• Maintain quality assurance logs and oversee clinical equipment operation.
• Promote safety and comply with abuse prevention requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
