Job summary

Gallup Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse for PRN shifts. Pick from 6pm-6am or 6am-6pm, with full-time benefits available for eligible employees.

The RN/LVN will develop care plans, oversee nursing staff, and ensure compliance with safety standards while coordinating with physicians, therapists, and aides. Prior nursing management experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Current RN or LVN license in practicing state.
• BLS/CPR certification current or willingness to acquire.

Responsibilities

• Follows established procedures for charting and incident reporting.
• Follows procedures for narcotic counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction.
• Documents changes in patient conditions including nutrition, infections, skin conditions, weight loss, or other noticeable changes.
• Uses the Quality Life Manual for patient placement and monitoring in programs.
• Documents and notifies departments of room changes, LOA, new admissions, or discharges.
• M maintains rounds with physicians as needed.

The Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse will be responsible for resident care and directing nursing staff. The RN is expected to develop the plan of care and collaborate with physicians, therapists and nursing assistants. The RN will also monitor assigned staff to ensure that all safety regulations are upheld.

Charge Nurse (RN or LVN) will provide nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies as well as state, federal and local guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Current LVN/LPN or RN license in practicing state.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to acquire one.
• Experience in nursing management is preferred but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Documents any change in patient's conditions including but not limited to nutritional problems, infections, skin conditions, weight loss or any other noticeable changes.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Document and notify applicable departments of any patient's room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.
