Job summary

Providence Kodiak Alaska Medical Center is seeking an expert level clinician to support and direct patient care services. The role ensures safe, efficient throughput, optimal resource use, and serves as a single point of contact for caregivers, physicians and others for patient transfer or placement.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Alaska Registered Nurse License on hire.
• BLS by American Heart Association on hire.
• 1 year of Charge Nurse or leadership experience.
• Experience in Critical Access Hospital inter-departmental dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care services and overall throughput for safe, efficient operations.
• Serve as single point of contact for caregivers, physicians and transfers/placements.
• Promote patient satisfaction through extraordinary service aligned with Providence mission and values.
• Make leadership decisions and provide shift oversight on operational issues for all hospital departments.
• Collaborate with Administrator on Call for after-hours issues.
