Job summary

Kettering Health Main Campus is seeking a Charge Nurse Leader to oversee safe, patient-centered care on a shift. You will guide a team, provide mentorship, and coordinate staffing and patient flow to meet priorities in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires an Ohio RN license, a Bachelor's degree within 3 years, and 1+ year of nursing experience. Expect 12-hour shifts with days or nights and weekend commitments. Leadership and teamwork are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required within 3 years of hire.
• Registered Nurse; Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical nursing experience.
• Work hours include days or nights with weekend commitment.
• CPR required ACLS, PALS, NRP TNCC per unit requirement; if required and not current must be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess, coordinate, implement and evaluate the delivery of safe, patient-centered care during assigned shift.
• Facilitate, precept, and mentor staff to grow professionally and enhance skills.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges with other departments to ensure timely patient flow.
• Ensure professionalism, regulatory compliance, and accountability for safe, quality care.
