Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington, KY seeks a Charge Nurse for 3F Telemetry, a 24-bed unit supporting our stroke program and neurology/neurosurgery care. The role focuses on shift leadership, coordinating staff workflow and delivering direct nursing care, admissions, transfers and discharges.

The Charge Nurse acts as an exemplar of compassion and teamwork, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care on a busy telemetry floor with overflow for orthopedic patients.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky RN license.
• Basic Life Support certification; must obtain within 30 days if not on file.
• ACLS and/or other designated unit specific certification training/requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing; BSN to be completed within 5 years of starting program.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of workflow and staff for a designated shift.
• Assure provision of patient care and address issues/concerns as appropriate.
• Coordinate nursing rounds, assessments, treatments, and care planning on the unit.
• Support admissions, transfers and discharges and educate patients and families.
