Job summary

Farwell Care Center is seeking a Unit Nurse Manager, or Director of Nursing, or Charge Nurse to oversee nursing staff and coordinate resident care in a long-term care setting.

The role requires a valid CNA, CPR/BLS certification, and at least one year of CNA experience in long-term care. Duties include supervising care plans, ensuring quality of daily care, and collaborating with nursing staff to deliver safe, dignified resident services.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the state.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• No disciplinary action in effect against certification.
• At least one year of experience as a CNA in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Provides certified nursing assistant services to residents per care plans and policies.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living per care plans.
• Aids in lifting, turning, positioning, and transferring residents.
• Coordinates dining room services during meals and documents intake.
• Delivers nutritional supplements and tracks weight and intake.
• Monitors skin condition and reports changes to the nurse.
• Assists staff with toileting programs and daily care tasks.
• Completes flow sheets and communicates resident status to the nurse.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to safety and hygiene standards.
• Attends care-plan meetings and participates in quality initiatives.
