TTUHSC seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Nursing Unit within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice facilities. The role requires clinical nursing skills, patient-centered care, and the ability to work in a correctional environment, delivering high-quality care with compassion and integrity.

Formación

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Two years of nursing experience, with at least 6 months as an RN.
• Current RN license issued by Texas State Board of Nursing.
• Preferred: two years RN experience; one year supervisor experience; correctional facility experience.

Responsabilidades

• Make daily assignments and ensure all assignments are completed.
• Communicate patient data using Electronic Health Record (EHR) to support decision-making.
• Assist with exams and procedures and document interventions in EHR.
• Administer or assist with medications.
• Attend meetings and share information with staff.
• Maintain current knowledge of issues and treatment modalities.
• Assist in planning and coordinating unit management functions.
