Job summary

Priority Management is seeking a Charge Nurse for Cedar Hill Healthcare Center in Cedar Hill, TX. You will coordinate resident care with the Medical Director and attending physicians, while supporting the nursing team and ensuring high-quality clinical services.

You will review charts, assist in developing nursing plans, and handle administrative duties for the assigned residents, under the guidance of the DON and ADON.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current nursing license in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• Demonstrates teamwork and leadership to support nursing staff.
• Commitment to resident-centered care and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Confers with the Medical Director and attending physician on residents assigned to you.
• Assists DON in planning and developing nursing services for residents.
• Mentors and supports team members to grow their careers and skills.
• Reviews residents' records to identify early signs of health issues.
• Fulfills administrative duties for assigned residents (forms, reports, charting).

What You’ll be Doing

• Conferring with the Medical Director and the attending physician regarding specific residents assigned to you.
• Consulting with the physician concerning resident evaluation and assist the Director of Nursing in planning and developing the nursing services to be performed for the resident.
• Helping your team members grow their careers—you will change lives!
• Examining residents and their records and charts to distinguish between normal and abnormal findings in order to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional or mental problems.
• Performing administrative duties regarding assigned residents, such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
