Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital – Clear Lake is seeking a Full-Time Night Charge Nurse (RN) with ICU and/or critical care experience to supervise the patient care activities performed by other RNs, LPN/LVNs, and CNAs. Communicate with Physicians/CCO/staff about changes in a patient’s condition and respond quickly to changes in treatment.

Provide direct patient care as required based on staffing and acuity. Current Texas RN licensure, knowledge of nursing laws, BLS and ACLS certifications, and strong

• Current Texas Registered Nurse Licensure.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patient care activities by RNs, LPNs/LVNs, and CNAs.
• Communicate with physicians/CCO/staff about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Foster a positive milieu in the hospital.

Keeps CCO and CEO apprised of situations that may place facility at risk. Provides direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity.
