Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital – Clear Lake is seeking a Full-Time Night Charge Nurse (RN) with ICU and/or critical care experience to supervise patient care activities performed by other RNs, LPN/LVNs, and CNAs.

The role requires communicating with physicians and leadership about changes in a patient’s condition, responding quickly to changes, and maintaining a positive environment while keeping the CCO and CEO apprised.

Qualifications

• Texas Registered Nurse licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Additional languages desirable.
• Detailed computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patient care activities by RNs, LPNs/LVNs, and CNAs.
• Communicate with Physicians/CCO/staff about changes in patient condition and tests.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.
• Foster a positive milieu in the hospital.
• Keep CCO and CEO apprised of potential risks to the facility.

Clear Lake – AMG Specialty Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Night Charge Nurse (RN) with ICU and/or critical care experience

to supervise the patient care activities performed by other RNs, LPN/LVNs, and CNAs. Communicate with Physicians/CCO/staff, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Responsible for fostering a positive milieu in the hospital. Keeps CCO and CEO apprised of situations that may place facility at risk. Provides direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity.

Job Requirements

• Current Texas Registered Nurse Licensure.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English. Must be able to articulately communicate, interpret and explain complex information and written and verbal communication.
• Additional languages desirable.
• Detailed computer knowledge.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and human relation skills.
