Job summary

Augusta Health, located in Fishersville, Virginia, seeks a Charge Master Specialist (CDM) to manage and maintain the organization’s charge master. This on-site, full-time role involves coordinating changes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the Business Office.

Salary is competitive with a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of revenue cycle experience, familiarity with Meditech Expanse, and the ability to work across stakeholders in a matrix

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1 year minimum in revenue cycle: charge capture, payer reimbursement, billing or coding.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Preferred: Associates or Bachelor's in relevant discipline.
• Certification through AAHAM, AAPC, HFMA or other revenue cycle assoc. preferred.
• 3–5 years direct Charge Master maintenance experience in hospital setting preferred.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse preferred.
• Experience developing charge capture workflows, policies or training materials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and review all changes to the Charge Master within organizational guidelines.
• Ensure charge changes comply with third-party payer regulations and requirements.
• Inform staff of changes; work with Business Office and other groups as assigned.
• Maintain knowledge of compliance regulations related to charging.
• Develop and maintain reports and data from software products into a single format.
