Job summary

UTMB Health is seeking a Charge Capture Manager - Managed Care on a hybrid remote basis to oversee the integrity of the Charge Description Master and CDM across departments. You will collaborate with the School of Medicine, Revenue Cycle Operations, and Revenue Integrity to ensure accurate charging and identify process improvements to maximize gross revenue.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in healthcare revenue management, plus professional coding credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare, nursing, business administration, finance or related field.
• Five years' related experience in healthcare revenue management.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the integrity of CDM and CDM processes.
• Develop and maintain policies for CDM maintenance and pricing updates.
• Facilitate charge router logic reviews to ensure accurate charges.
• Ensure CPT/HCPCS and revenue code assignments comply with regulations.
• Provide guidance to management on changes to the CDM.
• Review revenue departments’ charge volumes and posting lag days.
• Distribute coding and billing regulatory requirements to departments.
• Serve as SME to Charge Master Analysts and Revenue Integrity.
• Hire, supervise, train and evaluate staff.
