Responsibilities

• Enter patient charges accurately and timely into the practice management system.
• Review encounter documentation to ensure charges are supported and complete.
• Verify accuracy of CPT, ICD-10, and other applicable billing codes.
• Identify missing, incomplete, or inconsistent information and follow up with appropriate clinical or administrative staff.
• Ensure charges are entered in accordance with established billing guidelines and procedures.
• Communicate with providers and department staff regarding charge entry questions or discrepancies.
• Assist with identifying and resolving charge entry errors or billing discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient charges accurately and timely into practice management system

Requirements & Skills

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Previous medical billing, charge entry or healthcare administrative experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, and ICD-10 coding preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems
• Strong organization and communication skills
