Job summary

Lifepoint Health® is seeking a Charge Reconciliation Specialist at UP Health System - Marquette. In this role, you'll ensure accurate billing charges are captured and inputted in the system. This position requires 2–3 years of medical billing and coding experience and a completion of relevant training.

You'll work with electronic medical records systems, help improve the efficiency of billing processes, and contribute to a healthier community. Competitive benefits include health insurance and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of medical billing and coding experience required.
• Completion of Medical Coding and Billing program or related training is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all billing charges are captured appropriately.
• Accurate and timely charge capture and data input of patient encounters.
• Resolve specific front-end edits and batch maintenance issues.

Skills

Experience working with electronic medical records systems

Ability to work both independently and as a team member

Competent in using medical record systems; EPIC a benefit

Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and CMS requirements and standards

Education

Completion of Medical Coding and Billing program or related training

Associate degree in related field
