Job summary

Florida Department of Corrections is seeking a Chaplain Administrator for the Lowell Correctional Institution Chaplaincy in Ocala. This OPS role focuses on leading, coordinating, and delivering chaplaincy services, pastoral care, worship, and religious education for inmates, staff, and families.

The role requires oversight of the Food Option and Religious Diet programs, meticulous record-keeping, and collaboration with the Senior Chaplain on institutional visits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of professional clergy or related experience.
• Current approbation or endorsement by ecclesiastical authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and coordination of Chaplaincy Services programs.
• Provide pastoral care, conduct worship services, and teach religious education.
• Oversee the Certified Food Option Program and the Religious Diet Program.
• Maintain detailed records and submit reports for chapel activities and diet program.
• Support volunteer program and assist Senior Chaplain with visits and meetings.
