Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Chaplain on a full-time basis at its Las Vegas Owens Campus. The role focuses on directing weekly chapel services, leading Bible study groups, and coordinating volunteers to support campus spiritual activities.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s in Christian Ministry and at least 5 years of ministry experience, with strong communication and confidentiality. A valid NV driver’s license and TSA safety modules are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Christian ministry or related field and 5 years of ministry experience.
• Uniform-wearing Salvationist in good standing preferred.
• Experience with the public, including individuals facing addiction or mental health challenges.
• Public speaking and teaching experience required.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and motivation practices.

Responsibilities

• Direct weekly chapel services and coordinate volunteers for chapel services.
• Lead Bible study groups for program beneficiaries.
• Build connections with Corps Officers and other activities.
• Conduct spiritual assessments and prepare growth plans.
• Coordinate client participation in events and retreats.
• Provide spiritual counsel to staff as requested.
• Record and report data for chaplaincy programs and activities.
• Visit clients who may be hospitalized or incarcerated.
• Maintain regular office hours in Day Resource Center and Family Services.
