Job summary

Wesley Manor, a BHI Senior Living community in Indiana, seeks a Chaplain to provide pastoral services to residents and staff, lead worship, and coordinate spiritual life programs. You will visit residents, offer counseling, and support a compassionate campus.

You will work with the Spiritual Life Committee, adapt messages for Health Center and Memory Care, and participate in memorial services and community events.

Qualifications

• Ordained minister or certified chaplain with at least two years in ministry.
• Ability to minister to residents with varying physical and mental abilities and faith traditions.
• Willing to take after-hours calls and travel to hospitals and resident units.

Responsibilities

• Provide Sunday worship services in chapel and health center.
• Provide special services for religious days as determined by leadership.
• Coordinate weekly Bible study classes.
• Offer spiritual counseling and visitation to residents and staff.
• Make initial visit to new residents to assess spiritual needs.
• Perform memorial services for residents and attend funerals as needed.
• Collaborate with Spiritual Life Committee on programs.
• Adapt sermons for Health Center and Memory Care residents.
• Coordinate chapel services when not leading worship.
• Prepare and distribute the chapel bulletin.
• Serve as campus Manager on Duty each Sunday.
