*Responsibilities*

Chaplains provide compassionate, supportive quality care to patients, families, caregivers and staff. They treat those seeking care in a way that reverences human dignity, offering holistic care that addresses physical, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions. Responsibilities include offering listening presence, conducting spiritual assessments, supporting patients through grief and pain, and providing prayer, rituals, and sacraments. Chaplains also consult as part of a multidisciplinary team and coordinate with Pastoral Visitors within the hospital.

*Essential Key Job Responsibilities*

1. Provide spiritual assessment and pastoral care to patients, families, and staff.
2. Interact with the care team, communicate patient information appropriately, and respect confidentiality.
3. Participate in on-call rotations and lead chapel services as needed.
4. Support departmental guidelines and perform related duties as assigned.

*Qualifications*

*Required Education and Experience*

• Bachelor's Degree
• Five (5) years of ministry or related work experience
• One (1) Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Unit accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education OR active enrollment in a CPE program at St. Luke's Health Texas Division.
• Preferred: Two (2) CPE Units or active enrollment in a CHI Texas Division CPE Program.

*Overview*

The Woodlands Hospital provides primary and secondary care, including cardiovascular, diagnostic imaging, women’s services, neurosciences, pediatric care, surgery, pathology, pulmonary services, and sleep disorder treatments. Affiliations include MD Anderson Cancer Center and Texas Children’s Hospital.

*Pay Range*

$23.00 per hour
