Job summary

Interim HealthCare Hospice in Wellington, KS seeks a Part-time Hospice Chaplain to support patients and families seeking comfort and closure. You’ll be the face of courage, delivering spiritual care and coordination with community clergy as part of a compassionate team.

Responsibilities include assessments, service provision coordination, record-keeping, and participation in care planning. The role emphasizes flexibility and meaningful patient-centered support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited seminary, school of theology and/or religious studies program (BD, MDiv or equivalent theological degree).
• Experience working with death and dying, terminally ill individuals and their families or caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of Hospice patients and their families' spiritual needs.
• Ensure timely provision of spiritual services by delivering or coordinating services with clergy or counselors.
• Maintain records of spiritual services and related activities as directed.
• Participate in the interdisciplinary group plan of care to meet spiritual needs.
• Provide funeral or memorial services as requested.

As a Hospice Chaplain, here's a big-picture view of what you will do:

• Conduct assessments of Hospice patients and their families' spiritual needs
• Ensure the appropriate spiritual services are provided in a timely manner by either providing such services to the patient/family or coordinating the provision of services with community clergy or spiritual counselors.
• Maintains records of spiritual services utilization and related activities as directed.
• Participates in the development of the interdisciplinary group plan of care to meet identified spiritual needs.
• Provides funeral or memorial services for patients as requested.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
