Job summary

Music Ministry International seeks a Coordinator of Religious Education for the Yuma Proving Ground Chapel as a 1099 contractor. The role oversees logistical, administrative, and program support for Religious Education, including Children’s Church, Kid’s Club, Kingdom Kids, and Vacation Bible School.

The coordinator will recruit and manage volunteers, ensure background checks, and align activities with the Command Master Religious Plan while supporting military families and church staff.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Protestant Christian religion.
• Basic knowledge of other religions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience working in a church/chapel environment.
• Understanding of Military families.
• Adherence to Army SHARP/EO/EEO requirements.
• Verifiable experience working with children grades K-12.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for logistical, administrative, and programming support for Religious Education at YPG Chapel.
• Direct, plan, and conduct Children’s Church program each Sunday of the contract.
• Direct, plan, and conduct weekly Kid’s Club program on Monday 1300-1500 after school.
• Direct, plan, and conduct Kingdom Kids program weekly.
• Plan and conduct Special Children or Youth Events (up to 10 per year).
• Coordinate volunteers, background checks, and post-wide publication with Chapel Staff.
• Ensure compliance with applicable military and chapel policies.
