Job summary

Music Ministry International invites applications for the Protestant Religious Education Coordinator (PREC) at Luke AFB. The role is a contract position supporting the Chapel Protestant Program, requiring experience in RE coordination or teaching and ability to work across denominations.

The PREC will develop growth plans, manage volunteers, and coordinate education activities for all ages, while maintaining training and compliance records.

Qualifications

• Four years’ experience as a religious education coordinator or teacher.
• Ability to develop short and long-term growth plans for the RE program.
• Ability to work in a pluralistic environment; managerial experience; secretarial skills; computer proficiency.
• Must obtain Red Cross First Aid, CPR and Infant CPR within 90 days at no cost to PREC; provide Red Cross Card to Superintendent/Chapel Ops.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Strong knowledge of Protestant faith, practice, and traditions.
• Maintain healthy interpersonal relationships with coworkers, chapel staff and parishioners.
• Qualified to perform services with minimal direction.
• Background investigation CNACI required; disqualifying criteria include sexual offenses, drug felonies, violence, or crimes involving children.

Responsibilities

• Active member of the Protestant Chapel program and collaborate with chaplain from multiple denominations.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct.
• Ensure security, cleanliness, and proper configuration of RE facilities.
• Develop, schedule, and implement annual Protestant RE programs and activities for all ages.
• Participate in continuing education or professional development annually when funds are available.
• Maintain training records and complete mandatory training, including First Aid/CPR.
• Submit After-Action Reports for RE events as required.
• Assist in inspections related to RE and coordinate with chapel staff.
• Work 20 hours per week, including weekends; post office hours.
• Possess basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Submit monthly invoices via WAWF and validated time sheets.
