Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a seasoned sales professional to build and execute a targeted channel partners strategy in the United States. You’ll win new business, develop joint account plans, and deliver integrated travel management solutions tailored to client goals.

You’ll work with senior client contacts and internal teams, maintain CRM records, and present compelling ROI proposals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of channel/partner sales experience.
• Consultative selling approach with quota achievement.
• Strong CRM skills (e.g., Salesforce) and comfort with technology tools.
• Ability to build credibility with senior executives.
• Strong presentation, negotiation, and financial storytelling skills.
• Knowledge of the travel industry or travel management.
• Existing relationships with channel partners.
• Experience selling through a third-party partner.

Responsibilities

• Build and run a targeted sales strategy for channel partners and the members they serve.
• Win new business from prospective channel partners and their clients, and meet monthly sales, transaction, and KPI targets.
• Develop joint account plans with partners to identify, prioritize, and open doors with their clients.
• Deliver customized, integrated travel management solutions across online and offline channels, tailored to each client's goals.
• Create and present compelling proposals that connect our value to what each prospect is trying to achieve.
• Document and communicate the return on investment of every proposed solution, including unexpected benefits.
• Handle objections with decision makers, ask for the business with confidence, and move people to action.
• Build trusted relationships with senior client contacts and with colleagues across Sales, Implementation, Account Management, and Product.
• Keep CRM records current, including daily activity, pipeline progress, and forecasts.
• Sell with integrity, and follow compliance and internal partner requirements so every client has a consistent experience.

What We’re Looking For

• 5 years of sales experience, ideally in channel, partner, or alliance selling.
• A consultative approach and a record of exceeding quota in a strategic sales role.
• Strong CRM skills (Salesforce or similar) and comfort with technology tools.
• Skill at building credibility with senior executives at partner and client organizations.
• Strong presentation, negotiation, and financial storytelling skills, including building a business case from savings data.
• Knowledge of the travel industry, corporate travel management, or expense and procurement solutions.
• Existing relationships with channel partners and a respected industry reputation.
• Experience selling to clients through a third-party partner, such as a consultancy, investor, association, or technology provider.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

The US national base salary range for this position is from

$88,200.00 - $163,800.00

The national range provided includes the base salary that Amex GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.

In addition to base salary, the anticipated range of which is posted above, this role is eligible for a sales incentive plan based on specific sales' roles.
